  • Tweak Dives (Skills dives) Winter, Saturday mornings, La Jolla Shores. Announced on SDUE email list
  • Tweak Dives (Skills dives), Thursdays 6:00pm, La Jolla Shores near flagpole.   "DIR Tweak" practice dives will resume in Spring 2009 after the daylight savings time change.   These are practice dives to build and maintain safe diving skills using the  unified team DIR diving philosophy.

We often spend a few minutes topside talking about a particular DIR skill or procedure then get in the water and work on skills.

In the water, we usually shoot at bag from the sand in 30' of water and use that line as a reference to do ascent drills, etc.   We sometimes do a short canyon dive after the skills.

If you want to receive email notices for SDUE DIR tweak dives, please subscribe to the mailing list here:  http://groups.yahoo.com/group/sdue/

SDUE is a DIR dive club in San Diego, CA with several objectives:

  1. Promote DIR unified team diving for increased diver safety and enjoyment.
  2. Explore San Diego's, Southern California and Baja Mexico's waters for new and challenging dive sites.
  3. Support local public service organizations with deep water search, recovery, and investigation.
  4. Support local NGOs on underwater conservation projects.
  5. Organize Technical and Recreational dives, training, seminars and demos in San Diego.

We promote the DIR unified team diving philosophy of SCUBA diving.   We have an open door  for those interested in learning about DIR diving and developing their dive skills.   We can provide mentors for basic DIR skills up to deep exploration with scooters and multiple stage bottles.
